Black and Denim | Timeless Pieces
11:00 PMDressing up can be tiring sometimes especially when we are in a rush and we have too many clothes to choose from (girls be like!). We have to mix and match our clothes to get the outfit that suits our day. One of my techniques is to store timeless pieces. These clothes are those that you can wear anytime or can be easily paired with your other outfits.
One of the timeless pieces in my wardrobe is a denim jacket. I actually collect variations of them, I have a dark button down full length denim jacket, a sleeveless denim blazer, a sleeveless button down waist lenth, and a button down ombre waist length denim (the one I'm wearing). Denims can basically spice up any outfit you have. So when you see a really good denim in a store, gooo buy it and don't hesitate! :D
Another timeless piece in my wardrobe are blacks. Of course, you can never go wrong with black.
Blacks in your wardrobe can be black top, a black dress, a black short, a black pants or black leggings, tons of them! Because they become loose as they get older. You have to be careful when wearing leggings though. You have to get the right fit to avoid awkward folds and you have to wear seamless underwear! You don't want to walk around with a very visible panty marks, do you? Another thing to remember when wearing leggings is the right length of your top. Your top should cover the things that needs to be covered in the front and back, unless you're going out for yoga.
Another timeless piece is a white sneaker. Who doesn't love white sneakers? Be it a skirt, a dress, a gown, a short, you can pair it with almost anything!
In this blog, I am wearing a black and denim outfit with white sneakers. The black top and bottom gives a polished look while the denim jacket and the sneakers kinda adds a pop to a plain outfit. This look is perfect for school or just a walk in the park. Looking classy and sporty at the same time.
Dressing up can be tiring sometimes but it doesn't have to be! As long as you have timeless pieces in your wardrobe, you'll be okay.
